Premier Bride Bridal Show!!!

Filed under News, Uncategorized, Weddings • Written by Sara Beth Raab @ 7:12 am

Hey there blog lurkers!!!!  I’m going to be at the Premier Bride Bridal Show next Sunday (August 30th) so I wanted to give you all some tips about those darn bridal shows!!! So here goes:

1.  Register BEFORE the show!!! You will save some $ and be able to look at the venders websites before the show when you see who all will be there!  If you make a list of who you definatly want to meet, that will help you at the show as there will be lots and lots of people there! Here is the website where you can do this: http://memphis-bridalshow.com

2.  Bring pre-printed  address stamps with your preferred method of contact as well as your wedding date.  Keep in mind that vendors WILL be contacting you when you leave your information so if you’d prefer phone calls, leave your phone number, if you’d prefer snail mail, leave your address, and of course if you prefer e-mail leave your e-mail address! :-)

3. Bring a Pad and Pen – You will want to take detailed notes on the vendors you loved…. because when you get home you WILL forget!

4. Bring a Camera-  the best way to remember the vendors is to remember their booths! Take photos of things you loved and coordinate your images numbers with info on your notepad and their promotional materials.

5.  Bring a big bag- vendors will be giving you lots and lots of stuff, you’ll need something to put it in! The show does usually provide a bag, but go green if you can! :-)

6. Bring your appointment book - Try to go ahead and set up follow up meetings at the bridal show before the vendors get all booked up!

7. Wear comfortable shoes/ have water/have eaten lunch- You will be covering a lot of ground so come prepared!  There will be food samples but don’t rely on this for your sustenance!

8. Plan to be there a while – go ahead and plan to be there for at least 3 hours to take in the fashion show and meet vendors, you don’t want to be in a hurry!

9. Meet Vendors -  This is a wonderful time to meet the vendors! Be social and ask lots of questions… it can be awkward for vendors to be talking to so many people at once.. the more questions you ask the easier it is for a vendor to relate their services to you.

10.  Go to the fashion show – this is always a great place to see wedding dress designs, make sure to take notes!

11. Don’t get overwhelmed! – Take a break to sift through what you have seen so far and then dive back in when you feel ready, try to enjoy this and not let it get the best of you! Then at the end maybe take another swing back through the booths to touch base with your favorites again.

This is Melanie and her lovely horse, Dancer. They were the first of this month’s photo session special for equestrians! I had such a great time photographing them, Dancer is quite the handsome guy and Mel isn’t so bad herself! ;-) Thanks you two for being great subjects!

Audra and Peter

Audra and Peter got married! It was a hot day… ewwww.. really hot, actually, but because they decided to see each other before the wedding we had plenty of time, and tried hard not to break up too much of a sweat!  We played inside and out, and went back in when it was too hot, it worked out quite well, actually!  The day went wonderfully smooth and was super fun! The music was lead by the oh so wonderful Tommy at Dingo Entertainment and those lovely flowers were by L&J Productions. :-)   Onward to some pics:
