Bootaaaaaaaay Shots…

Hey hey blog lurkers!!

I have been asked… “What is the purpose of Budior Photography?” The reason I find that this sort of photography is important for me to do is that I feel that women really need to see themselves as beautiful and realize that they are beautiful right NOW, not 10 lbs from now, not when they were 10 years younger, not only at 9:00 AM before they’ve had breakfast….   These photo sessions are to make my Southern Design Gals feel beautiful, confident, and ::gasp:: sexy!  We do this by surrounding them by a place where they are confident and then just have a blast and not take ourselves seriously.  I’ve been told over and over again that I’m a “calming” presence at weddings and whatever “calming effect” I have during those stressful wedding days seems to also be the case for these “bootaaay” sessions.

Most gals use the final products for gifts for their hons, but many, especially my new moms, do it to remember that they are in fact, still a woman… not just a milk factory, laundry machine, and household maid.

In fact, I feel that it is so important for new moms, especially, to remember their womanly selves that I now include a COMPLIMENTARY budior session with the purchase of a Baby’s First Year Package.

So that is, in a nutshell, where I’m comming from when I say I now offer these photo sessions.  They aren’t just another gimmick to get more cash from my gals, but I really do feel as though I’m boosting these gals body confidence one photo at a time……

YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL.

I’ve been begged and begged by many of you guys to see some pics, so here you go guys and gals! Here are two of my brave souls that allowed me to put these images up…. aren’t they BEAUTIFUL gals?

You are all beautiful, let me photograph you too!!! :-D

Peabody Shoot for Premier Bride Magazine

Filed under News • Written by Sara Beth Raab @ 6:46 pm

Hey there blog readers!!!

I was so excited when I talked to Stevi with Premier Bride Magazine and she asked if I wanted to do one of the fashion shoots.  I said… well YUH! So we had a couple of places up for grabs and I picked my current favorite venue, the Peabody Hotel! So while doing my research for the shoot, I decided to go with a traditional bride princess….. but elegant….. and pull in my fav vintage look into the mix.  I new I wanted very clean classic light and a tad pull of the old Hollywood Glam as well.  So after trading notes with Jessica with Jessica’s Bridal, we came up with a great theme for the shoot! So, I figured I’d just use a couple of my brides (Ashley from October and Mary Elizabeth from May )and then the day of the shoot came!!

So Studio La Ru was set up for the make upand hair.  We worked with Pam and Deloris, and they gals looked amazing!!!! They totally made the girls look exactly like I was invisioning and the dresses were perfect! And Micheal Doyle with Lynn Doyle Flowers did the flowers.  Ok, take a look:

OOOOOH and Diamonds by  Diamond Brokers of Memphis.

Thank you Mary Elizabeth, Ashley, and Stevi for making this shoot so awesome!!!!!
