It rained…. it pored…… it flooded…. but the giggles from Lisa made the sun come out 45 minutes before the ceremony to make for a LOVELY wedding day!

Lisa and David are the Master Minds behind my bridal show booth design that so many of you loved ( See Pics HERE ) And are just the most DARLING couple. They are so very natural together and I wanted to showcase that. And they both have the most BEAUTIFUL eyes! I can’t wait for them to have babies… wait, am I supposed to say that?

Kara and Vik have just been a pure joy to work with! They have been together forever… as Kara says.  So they are quite comfortable around each other! This shoot was the first time I have had Aaron with me at an enagement session ( He is my normal second shooter at weddings).  Him and I really loved doing this shoot together and Aaron is now even more excited to do their wedding with me in June. And two excited photographers = creative juices a flowing.

It’s a snow day here in Memphis and the snow is just a coming down!  So if you happen to be at home browsing the internet, here is a little treat for you to view!  This is Dara and Richie they got married at the Oh So Beautiful Cadre Building in Downtown Memphis.  Their wedding was filled with such joy surrounding their beautiful family!  It was a wonderful treat to work with the two of them and their kiddos.

- Opt for Less Hours

One of the first ways to save money is to only have SDS stay for part of the reception.

- Purchase a Smaller Album

Can’t live without one of SDS’s Coffee Table Albums or New Traditional Albums? Ask for pricing for an album that includes less images and pages.

-  Opt for Proofs

If you would like to have something to hold from your wedding day shooting time and proofs in a custom box are a great option.

- Build in After Wedding Credit

If you know that you or your family will want extra products after the wedding, go ahead and ad in print credit to the contract.  You will save 20%!

- Have a Friday or Sunday Wedding

Having a wedding booked on a less prime date allows for a little more leeway in hourly pricing.

What a wedding!!! Eddie and Martina got married here a few weeks ago and it was quite the wedding. So beautiful! Now…. Mrs. Martina is actually going to be on Bridezilla’s, but don’t let her fool you, she’s quite the sweetie.  But needless to say we had many a video camera to work around.  But I like to think we came up with some beautiful images dispite what Mrs. Martina tried to throw at us.

Hello hello!!!

This is Jackie and Jonathan ( you saw their engagement session earlier ) and their wedding day was simple BEAUTIFUL!! Oh my goodness. I had never shot at Idlewild and now I’m hooked, it’s practically perfect in every way. The brides room is fantastic, the outdoors is beautiful, and the sanctuary, omg, just beautiful.
